Engine brake

Wow. Thanks. That seems like a lot of force if you don't have to use service brakes at all.

Thanks

Swift

Well I just got off the phone with the recruitment department from mtc school. I have been placed with swift trucking. I want any and all opinions of how they work and operate. They say 240 hrs with trainer. Also they say new drivers must go otr for six months. Does anyone know what other routes they have regionally. Anyone have anything about them I would love to know. Thanks. How is training and everything any one knows would be great.

Hired through school

I would like to hear anyone's opinion on this but I am very interested in bretts opinion. My school that I have pretty much decided on says they will place me with a school either Hogan, TMC, Covenant, Schneider, Stevens, or swift. My question is when they place me will I have an idea of what kind of routes ill be driving - dedicated, regional, or otr? The reason being, I have a family and can only commit to being a regional driver that will be home weekends. Otr would not be possible for me.

Thanks jordan

Company truck

I have some questions about the trucks you drive for companies. What can you do to them to yours considering you will be living there. How often do you get a new one. What things do you buy yourself cb/gps/radio/tv. Also in reality not what recruiters tell you how often are you home on the diferent types of drives otr dedicated and what not

Thanks for the reply. When you get your company truck, what is it equipped with and what do you have to buy yourself?
