Guyjax (Guy Hodges)'s Bio

Started driving May 5 1998. Been driving over the road for 15 year. I am come off as "hard nosed" but really I am a nice guy.

Maybe I am slightly jade but I can guarantee you that I will not give you a load of crap or sugar coat anything. I will give you my honest best answer that I have learned through many years on the road and hard experiences.

Hey Brett....

And title?

Haha man with priorities.. His post count and title. Lol made me chuckle.

Honestly I don't care about them but you would be surprised at how much new people come on here and they do care about seeing a title.

And besides it's sort of I earned it. You can bet that Brett would not have those title unless he thought you were worth it. And it's a source of pride to allow others to know I have been here since 2009 and I can be trusted on the advice that I give.

Truck stop parking: Why are some people just stupid?

Yes a sleeper OTR truck is why it's longer than a day cab with doubles. It does not turn as sharp or as quickly so more room is needed.

And yes I could have stepped over and talked to him and asked him to move but the bathroom had priority over what that driver may have being thinking. Besides when you look in your mirror and see a set of doubles behind you then you should know that you should not Park in a doubles/triples spot. We both pulled off the the interstate at the same time and I followed him in.

Physical tarp test

Sometimes the fork lift guys will set the tarps on top of the load for ya but for the times they don't you put in of your shoulder and get good at climbing with one hand. Kind of like carrying roofing shingles up a ladder to the roofs.

Cattle/Car haulers

double-quotes-start.png

Those trailers stink to high heaven!! I hate being in the same parking lot with one ... *Gag*

double-quotes-end.png

Smells like money.

I saw a cattle pot one time that someone wrote nature's air freshener in the dirt

If it smells like money think I would think cattle haulers would not mind being paid in cow pies. Just saying.

Hey Brett....

I am trying to phase yahoo email out. And move on to other things. Seriously thinking about getting my own domain name just for the email alone.
