It's highly unlikely you're going to keep a full time job while going through school and then landing a part time job without any OTR experience. For starters, there aren't that many part time trucking jobs out there. But for the ones that do exist they're often a fill-in for someone who is sick or on vacation. They also tend to handle short term surges in freight like during the holidays or harvest season.

Also, most of the part time jobs that are out there would want driving experience.

It's not one of those completely impossible and hopeless ideas but it would be quite difficult to find anything. Especially in a Class A truck. You might have better luck with Class B vehicles like shuttles, small deliveries, and things of that nature. I'm not really sure.

I love truck driving and thinking to get into CDL...what are my chances of getting into part time jobs to start with ? as i work full time now , i don't want to leave the job right away until i get used to this thing...pls let me know ..thank you.
