Recently completed orientation @ Con - Way Truckload

It went very well !! My trainer was very helpful and very patient. 7500 miles will be over before you know it. I upgraded this weekend and the put me in a 2014 Freightliner Automatic. Im on my first run. Good luck in Joplin!!

How did the finisher go? I'm heading to Joplin to start orientation on Monday and I'd love to hear more about what to expect.

Recently completed orientation @ Con - Way Truckload

The orientation was four days in Joplin , MO. They paid for the bus pass there and for the stay at the hotel. We staid at the La Quinta with a roommate. The first day was basic introduction with two drug screens, hair and urine. The second day was road test and a backing test. The rest of the week was basically company info and policy. They covered safety, permits, pay ,detention, pet and rider policy. They supplied us with a lot of information throughout the week. On Thursday they gave us our I'd badges and Comdata cards and fleet cards along with a welcome pack. Some people were paired up immediately , I had to wait until the following tuesday. Training is going well right now. I'm trying to learn and progress as much as possible!! Powder

Recently completed orientation @ Con - Way Truckload

I am a recent CDL graduate. I obtained my CDL from Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. I just finished Con - Way's Orientation on 8/20/2015, in Joplin , MO. I am currently waiting on my finisher to begin my 7,500 miles of training. This is my first trucking company, so I am still brand new. So far Con-way seems like a great company to work for. They are very organized and professional oriented. They have already supplied me with a wealth of knowledge and information to help me with my transition. I will update when I begin my OTR training. If anyone has any questions about the Joplin facility or the orientation process, I will gladly help out. I will help with more information with driving experience as time goes on. I am excited to begin new career with a great company. If you have any questions, please let me know!!!

Thanks, Powder
