I came to this board here for advice as I feel I will get constructive advice here vs some other places online where there are a lot of complainers.

A little background I'm 33 live outside of Baltimore and went to cdl school back in late 2008 but never used my cdl for a driving job, had to take care of some personal issues and decided not to go trucking at that time. My issues are resolved and want to go truck driving and get out of retail. I have hazmat tanker and and doubles and triples endorsements on my cdl. I also don't have any tickets or accidents in last 7 years and no felonies or misdeameanors. I love to travel and have no kids or girlfriend so the initial time away from home for training and starting solo isn't an issue for me.

My 1 year goal is to get refreshed go solo keep my record clean and gain experience, I would be a trainer by the middle of my second year. Later on down the road after a few years I want to be an Owner Operator.

However I know I will need a refresher. I'm looking for companies that offer refreshers. I have been looking at Western Express and Arnold. western express has been running a lot of Ads in the Baltimore Area. After emailing an Arnold Recruiter I found out she said that she could get me a refresher.

Any other companies that I should look at?

I got my cdl a few years ago bak in november 08 but had to take care of of some financial issues. Got my cdl but no experience I want to get going however the companies I've talked to wont take me without a refresher and trying to find places that will do a refresher in maryland are few and far between.

What are some companies that offer sponsored refresher training?

Willis shaw and Werner won take me without a refresher

I'm thinking cr England or swift.

Can someone steer me n the right direction for a refresher
