Stephanie M.'s Bio

Hi

My name is Steph and I am getting ready to go to Trucking school at CR England. I am very excited about starting a new career after 20 years plus in social services. I have the love and support from my kids and husband. The only one not happy for me is my 4 year old heeler Roo. She wishes i'd find a company that allowed a dog. Anyway look forward to learning more and more. I can't say enough about this site. thx

Woman 45 thinking about a career change and looking to start with CREngland

Stephanie, I am interested in what Central did, how far in the application process did you get before they turned you away? I have applied with Central and I am waiting until the May 20th class. I don't want to get that far and then have them tell me no. Use this site to look at different options and Good Luck,...don't give up! Keep us posted! Kathy

I did the entire application and pre qualification and was asked when I wanted to start. I said april 1st. They sent me to last aspect of job refrences and all the forms filled out Releases and such. I was told i'd be contacted for travel arrangements. Two weeks went by so I got curiouse called them back and talked to the recruter and he just plain said Oh' yea well we wont be able to take you this time around, thanks for applying.I asked why and he said oh we have too many more qualified applicants. He was rude and un responsive to 2 other messages i left.

Ok Ladies of wisdom. I wanted to know if anyone else is struggeling to get past the employment history part. I have been a Student and house wife for 7 years or so. I am not getting a great response from the Companies that offer sponsored training. Is it a better route to save and attempt a school opposed to a company paid one? Also is there any companies that allow pets other than ffe?. Cental Ref just drug me through all the hoops then turned and said they have to many more qualified applicants?. I am educated and have over 20 years in Social Services, unfortunately my experience in 1989-2007 and being a single parent my schooling has been off and on due to finances? Any Ideas ladies.
