Preparing For School
Social Link:
Yup I'm really a Deadhead. Preparing for school at Sage. I am down here in South Florida working for a landscaper. I am a forman/driver. Nothing really to do with trucking but I am 5o now and can not see myself doing this when I am 60 let alone 70. So it is time for a change. I am in great shape and think I will give flatbedding a chance while I still can. My only regret is that I wish I had decided to try this a long time ago. Wish me luck! Peace always.

DOT Drug Testing: Urinalysis or Hair Follicle?
Howdy all, New member here and I am heading up to Sage in Ft. Pierce next month to start school. Will be lookin' for a "skateboarding" job somewhere. Melton looks like they are busy and local to me. Really enjoy this site Brett. I have been studying the manual and taking the test and getting great grades but more importantly actually learning... Awesome! And thanks to y'all for the great info on companies and real life stuff that they probably don't teach in any school. I have to say that this thread is entertaining to say the least. I did a little search drug testing and found this site from a drug testing clinic and I reviewed it and found it would answer a lot of the "will i pass or fail" concerns. Worth a look.

OTR Trucking is HARD WORK???
Welcome to Wil Trans. JPT driver here. Consider your entire training period a test and really your entire first year. if you truely want it you will roll with the punches. The 3months i spent in trainning seemed like eternal hell away from home so long. Now i usually aim for 12 weeks out and one week home.Generallt last about 8. If my sig other was into OTR we could forgo renting a place. Anyway good luck!!
