I'd appreciate any and all feedback regarding getting into truck driving industry. thanks to economic changes and factors I am in need of major career shift. I've always been interested in truck driving for awhile but just never took the dive. I've been speaking to several programs in my area. One if which is truck driving institute in Milton, Florida. The recruiter caught me by suprise by stating that they only charge $300 total up front while potential employers thru school agreements will pick up the rest of the tuition. Sounds little to good to be true. I'd really like to go thru a respectable training program, obtain my CDL and land an entry level OTR or even short haul driver position. But I want to make sure I go about everything the right way. Does anyone have in depth info regarding TDI? Any advice on what to look out for regarding school financing? Etc? Strings attached?
