Your family should be top priority, no matter what. I would say try to get your company to give you a local or regional position that gets you home more, and if they can't do that, then with 6 months experience under your belt already there are a good number of other companies that could hire you for a local position, and you should absolutely pursue that if your current company can't work with you. Even if it means you'll have to pay back your schooling costs since you didn't complete your contract, at least you'll have a new job that gets you the home time you need, and you'll be able to be there for your family. I personally wouldn't even consider an OTR position if I had a wife and kids and one on the way, but I know individual circumstances vary and sometimes you just gotta do what you have to to keep food on the table. Good luck and keep us updated! :)

Thanks for that I needed that

Stocking your sleeper cab

I hve can soups noddles lunch meat bread just to name a few. GPS and CB radio. Microwave would be good to hve. A coffee pot if u drink would be good as well. Labtop to watch movies if u hve spare time. And a converter to plug in microwave computer coffee pot when needed. Since getting cold thick ass blankets and pillows. Mke it to ur comfort zone to your best ability. Try to keep from eating out as much save money.

Can you get routed through your company's training location and maybe have a trainer give you 15 minutes?

Maybe they can see an obvious easy fix.

Probably not they dnt route u there unless maintenance or somethang serious. They sending me to NY where all those low clearances after i told them im not ready for that because east coast is like the worst place to send in a rookie to expect them to be safe and not mess up. Luckily i haven't had any accidents and any way going to NY.
