I have had the same issue with both the KW's that I've driven. I've come to expect it with the sensor. Mine tends to fault in the rain and snow (even with cruise control turned completely off this happens). It will also give big warning, and a few times apply the brake, when going under a bridge. I've come to believe that moisture of rain and snow interfere with the system and that for some reason the system will detect the shadow caused by a bridge as a vehicle.
