Over before it started

I would love to drive for CRST, but they are the only company to turn my wife down lol. A rolling stop got her a careless ticket four years ago. No one else has cared about it.

Celadon has great training and loves teams. You guys could try them out.

This is true about Celadon, the training and accommodations have been great to me so far. A very people oriented company, concerned with helping you succeed. Give them a try.

Does anyone know? Backing related

Hey kaydie welcome to the team! My brother and I run team with celadon. He went through training in Indy and said there is no alley dock for the cdl test, but they will teach you how to alley dock when you go to orientation after you get your cdl.

Thanks Nathan! I sent you a PM.

You'll have to check the rules for Indiana's test. Each state has different rules for the skills testing. For example in Florida you have to do a straight line backing, either a right or left off-set (randomly chosen for you) and one of the following, sight side parallel, blind side parallel, or 90 degree alley dock (also randomly chosen for you).

Thanks Miracle, great idea!

Company CDL training programs with short after-graduation contract times?

Are there any companies that don't require a full year of contract work after you complete your CDL training with them? Sounds like a year of slave labor to me. Three months or less would be optimal). Thanks.

Celadon has a 6 month contact option...CRST is a 10 month contract..all the others that I know of is 1 year or more.

I can't speak for all schools or tests, but mine consisted on 1 offset followed by 1 90 degree alley dock.

Thanks for the response!

Hey there everyone...I'm headed to Celadon Trucking School in Indianapolis soon, and I have a quick question - does the backing portion of the test consist of parallel parking or is it the 90 deg alley dock? Is there also an offset maneuver? Thanks Brett for this awesome site!
