I got the need for speed!

Well, obviously not really.

But today I was up to 65 on the interstate in tenth gear... Rollin down the road. Honestly the biggest sense of accomplishment I've had in a very long time. I kept her in my lane the entire time never drifted over even tho there were decent wind speeds... got up to highway speeds and merged on with no issues. No grinded or missed gears... I loved it.

I cannot wait to be Rollin down the highways delivering freight and making some money doing something I love! I know there's not much point to this post, but of all people I thought at least one of you might have had the same feeling before! :)

Anyway, drive safe all. And take care!

Tough Call...What would you do?

Personally I would get the reefer repaired. What if there's an accident on the road and you're stuck for those 2 hours anyways? And by the time you make it there the freight ruined AND your reefer isn't fixed? Now you waited those 2 hours you could have spent waiting on repairs in a traffic jam with destroyed freight.

Werner orientation

Hello and nice to meet you all. I've been lurking in the forums for a while now. The information I can get from this site is excellent. I'm happy that there's a place like this, for newbies and vets alike, to share experiences of being a trucker. Thank you! I'm planning on driving for Werner and I was looking at the hair follicle vs ua company breakdown list... Werner hasn't been updated since January 2015... would anyone who has recently gone through their orientation be kind enough to tell me what type of drug screening they are doing?

Thanks!

I plan on driving werner too after school! Pet policy will be awesome!!

New and excited!

Hey, all! Hope you guys had a lovely Thanksgiving last week!

Reason for the post is Monday morning at the early time of 0730 I report at Des Moines Area Community college for drug screen and orientation to class! But I'm so excited that I am jittery at this exact moment typing this!

I'm also worrying about how I recently left my job that I was with for 5 years! Was it common for all of you guys to be nervous? Anyone have some words of advice too?

Last of all, sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forums.

Thanks guys!
