Good evening all, I am recently unemployed and am considering a change in Career. My previous Career is hard to get a good job at my age (45), since it is considered a young man's career. I have some money saved up and am considering going to CDL school on my own dime. Lake Cumberland offers a CDL school through Gateway Community College (KCTCS), more information can be found here: http://gateway.kctcs.edu/~/media/Gateway/Corporate%20College/GatewayCDLFlyer2016Updated10262015.ashx
I have read all the guides and threads pertaining to this exciting new career and feel it suits me perfectly. I plan on going through training in February (hopefully after the winter's done with snow). There is also an Averitt Trucking station less then 3 miles from my home, so my questions are:
1. Anyone know anything about their training program?
2. Does Averitt hire recent Graduates?
