showtime's Bio

Drove for 6 months through Prime Inc.'s school. Got off the road because of family issues. Now I've fixed those issues I'm ready to make a career on the road.

I Love driving over the road and can't wait to get back into a big rig again.

Update: Drive for Melton Truck Lines. I am a Road Recruiter so if you have any questions about Melton Truck Lines or flatbed please ask.

Great information Brett. I enjoy listening to these podcasts. Please keep them coming. I am in my first year of driving and I share them and this website with other new drivers as well.

New Podcast From "The Road Home" - Why Stick With Your First Company One Full Year?

Good info. I have been a driver for 8 months now. I drive flatbed. There are things that you won't know about trucking until you get into it. Like how flatbed has a slow season during winter. Like how you go from making 2400 miles plus to 1000 miles. Lol. Yes this is true because it's happening to me now. Believe me I fight respectfully for every mile and every extra pay like layover. The money is not always there in this industry and it certainly does not cover to cost of you being away from home at times. I am doing everything right and I'm not getting what I deserve. The industry is not fair and DM' s and companies will try to get over on you. The trucking industry is a fight. Plan, learn as much as you can at all times and work hard. I agree with staying on for at least one year. Experience is earned not given.

Georgia Driving Academy

I am getting ready to start my training with the Georgia Driving Academy located in Conyers, GA. I was wondering if there is anyone on here who has had an experience with this place that could give me an idea of what it will be like once the class actually gets started. There is no much information about the school on the website so it is hard to get a feel for what is going to happen when we get started. I was also wondering how the driving course and the equpitment that they use is?

I noticed you posted this over a year ago. I am considering going to the Georgia Driving Academy in Columbus Ga. Could you tell me about your experience there?
