Wish me luck!

Thanks guys. The beauty of it is I am gainfully employed as a QA manager. I can take my time and decide when I get ready. It's just time for me to stop worrying about govt contracts and people wanting their parts with a ± .001" tolerance, and just do something else.

Wish me luck!

63 years young and getting started. I passed my writtens for class A back in November. I will be doing my pre trip, skills and road test this Friday at the local trade school (third party testing site). I have a friend with a log rig and he let me train on all my backing maneuvers. I used to drive back in 1971, but was not driving when it came time to get grandfathered in. Sitting behind the wheel after all these years is somewhat intimidating. But, here I go! I want to drive Class A for several years then retire and drive a school bus to supplement SSI. My buddy wants me to haul logs with the company he works with, and it is tempting. He makes awful good money and is home every night, even takes the truck home with him.
