Texas CDL renewal/Medical Card question

Thanks for reply. DPS notified me today as long as you have not voluntarily surrendered or changed anything on your downgraded license, you can renew your CDL anytime before the expiration date on your DL.

I'm in Mississippi and they have a similar penalty. I guess States don't like you to let the medical card slide, no matter what the reason.

Texas CDL renewal/Medical Card question

Hey all, I got my Class-A CDL in August 2012. I was recently Downgraded to a Class-C license in July for not renewing my Medical card. Texas DPS website says I can renew my CDL if I renew my medical card, and pay a fee. Has anyone had a similar situation? Is there a time-frame to be able to get it back? I was transitioning careers at the time, and now i'm looking at getting back into OTR trucking. Thanks in advance.
