I stumbled on to this after searching for "best trucking school" and read it from beginning to end. I love reading about other people's experiences, especially when they give me insight into something I'm interesting in doing myself.
Great read! Thanks for posting.

San Diego based
Hey Everyone,
I'm thinking about going with company sponsored CDL training. I live in San Diego county and am trying to look into options based on that. I was really liking Roehl's program, but they currently aren't hiring in California. I don't think I want to go with CRST because it sounds like they only do team driving (maybe not)? It sounds like Swift or Schneider might be the best options.
I've read good things about Pride, but I will need to get my CDL first and then go out to SLC to do additional training. I suppose this would be a good option. The only thing is most private schools have little or mixed reviews around here, so I'm hesitant to fork over the dough. Plus, while I don't know much about truck driving, I'm a quick learner and if people can get their CDL with Swift in 3 weeks, then I know I can too. I'd rather get it done and get to work rather than spend too much time in the classroom.
I know this is a sort of vague question, but I'm just looking for any advice based on the fact that I'm located in San Diego county.
Thanks!
