Sleep Disorders

Thank you Rick! Hopefully I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill. I'm anxious to see what the doc says. I had the sleep study done because of my neck size and BMI. I sleep fine at night and wake up rested so I was was kinda confident I didn't have sleep apnea...but the tech mentioned my legs twitching so I googled it and this PLMS stuff came up. Just have to wait and see what the doc says. Thanks for the info..

Sleep Disorders

Are companies only concerned with "Sleep Apnea " or other sleep issues as welll? An example is "Periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD)". I had a sleep study done the other day but I haven't received the results yet. The tech unofficially told me the only thing that really happened was that my legs were all over the place. "IF" I'm told I have that, I'm Just wondering if something like that can be an issue during the company physical

First time on road

Thanks everybody! I think my first concern is getting used to the air brakes. First not enough pedal, then too much pedal. Gaining confidence in the fact this beast will stop and how to stop it correctly. Going down a hill was very interesting...lol.

First time on road

Today in CDL school I went on the road for the first time. I didn't really white knuckle it, but boy I was on edge. You really have to respect that machine. I'm sure it will get easier with experience and practice. I just wanted to say I give you drivers a lot of credit

Being totally new to trucking, things like this scare the crap outta me. But I understand it's real and it can happen so you need to be aware. Prayers to the family

New To The Site

Just wanted to take a second and say hello. Sure is a ton of information on this site and I appreciate every bit of it. I'm about to take the plunge into trucking and I'm trying to soak up everything I can. I'm in the middle of applying for a WIA grant to help with school and hopefully that pans out. If not, I will get it done some how. My goal is to go private school first vs. company sponsored. Until then I'm studying and just reading everything I can. I'm determined to make this work. Thanks again for all the info!!
