Help filling out the application

We've been discussing education today at home and it looks like I'm going to get to be the guinea pig. Mostly because Joe has been at his job since the beginning of time and I've only got 4 years at mine. He's been reading the forum here and at another website and has this fear that we would end up with both of us totally jobless and then lose the house because we are jobless and can't pay the bills.

We're going to bank a couple months mortgage payments so we have a small cushion and I'm gonna start applying. In the meantime.. I am going to study my heart out on here and do my best to learn the material so I am a step ahead. I also am requesting letters from my previous employers listed my dates of employment and also a copy of my college transcript. I want absolutely no surprises.

I have finished the 1st section with total 95% and 2 halts... do you think that is ok?

Help filling out the application

We are in the research part if this career change. We are getting our documents together... well I am getting mine together as my husband has worked at the same employer for the last 20+ years. (Lucky him). Anyway our goal after training is to work team. Will we do separate applications or just one? I would really like to just do one. Things are so much simpler that way. Also my husband has not quite had his drivers license for two years. Seems almost unbelievable doesn't it (he is 44). Anyways it will be 2 years next month and we probably won't be looking to do our change until early next year. Will his being such a new driver be a problem for us?

Also thanks for such a wonderful and informative site. I've started working on the training already.

Prime Inc and sleep apnea

My husband and I are currently researching driving and I'm really happy I came upon this topic. It is hard for me to wrap my head around people who have a lot of the co-morbidities of sleep apnea and have such a job worry abou the possibility of not being tested. I have a degree in Respiratory and aside from daytime sleepiness there are a host of other issues that can show up such as atrial-fibrillation which can lead to stroke or hypertension which can be a precursor to heart attack. We know those DOT exams are already pretty strict with that.

it may seem for a moment that $600 is a chunk to lay down for a diagnostic medical test but from my fork in the field I can tell you that is a bargain. Often tests can cost 2k or more if you have a doc who won't do same night cpap application and titration. Plus is it really that much when you think about the lives you may save.
