I used to drive for Sharkey and have driven both models of Mack truck pictured. The Macks are tough as hell but they don't ride that good. Especially the cabover. It had camel back suspension and it was almost like the axles were welded to the frame. It also didn't have power steering. It was "air assist" which was barely better than nothing. In short, if you were doing construction work or something where the need for your truck to be tough was a higher priority than comfort, Mack's fit the bill. The newer models are better suited as road trucks but, IMHO, there are other brands that are just as comfortable and cost less (Freightshaker). Sharkey runs Macks because Jack Sharkey owns the local Mack dealership.
