Well, yesterday, my class starting testing. Testing was finished today. I PASSED!

My roommate passed. (Way to go Mark!!) We had a total of 4 out of 8 to pass.

Graduation is tomorrow.

Well, Monday, I start week 4 of a 4-week training period for Roehl Transport. I have a CDL test on Tuesday at 1 pm CST. In that test, I have to do a state specified pre-trip inspection, then 3 backing exercises, straightline, offset, and 90 degree, then a road test. Successful completion of this test leads to graduation on Thursday, and returning home next Friday. I will be home for 3-7 days, and then on the road with a driver trainer for 14-21 days. I am so impressed with being on Team Roehl! This company is really fantastic.

You could hit Walmart and get some trunks. That hot tub is nice after a cold day.

I am starting week 3 of 4 this week. There is another guy that has posted on here the does test this week.

Buddy, you forgot to mention how awesome these rooms are. Just me in mine right now. Waiting on the roommate to show up.

Bring it brother!! Snow kept us indoors today. The school wouldn't let us leave the grounds with the truck.

J.D., stop talking about snow lol I have to head that way Saturday (Won't be in Appleton till Sunday). Here in Kentucky it's around 70° and it's almost 11Am with a high of 75 later today.

Maybe I can bring this weather with me too

Well, today week #2 is almost over. Been learning about backing, getting shifting going, been driving in the communities around, sand getting the pre-trip inspections down. One student in our class was sent home this week. He just couldn't get shifting down, and he just made no progress at all. This GYCDL program is fast-paced. You have to catch on, and catch on quick. The instructors will help you and can tell you what your weak spots are. You have to take what they tell you and use it for yourself. We have had great weather for the last few days. However, it was cooler today and snow is forecasted for tomorrow and Saturday.

Since I begin up in Appleton on the 27th, I look forward to any and all of your updates. Heck, it'll be your 3rd (?) week when I arrive so maybe we'll run into each other. Who knows!?

I started training for Roehl Transport this week. I just completed day 3 in Appleton, WI.

I have to say I am very impressed with Roehl to this point. First off, you are put on the payroll as an employee on the first day. (I was told first payday is the 3rd Thursday of training. Other fellow trainees were told different times.) They provide hotel near the training site. They also provide lunch during training. (Breakfast is provided by the hotel.) The training at the Appleton site in done in partnership with Fox Valley Technical College. They have awesome facilities. Their instructors, as well as those from Roehl, seem genuinely interested in your success. They are very helpful.

I am interested in Roehl's GYCDL program. Will they accept you if you are willing to drive to the closest training location?
