Checking the possibility of a career as a truck driver

I am 48 years old I have been self-employed in the tree business for more than 20 years however arthritis is keeping me from performing my job I've always been fascinated by truck driving and been considering a future in it however about 20 years ago I have a couple DUIs and I have a felony more than 10 years old. The DAC goes back 10 years so how do I fill out the application do I say my driving record and felony convictions are clean or do I try to tell about them and explain to the company how old they are. I've been down to DMV and got a copy of my driving record and shows clean driving and I got my class A CDL permit what do I do next
