Quick question on CDL and DUI

I'm wanting to get my CDL and start a career as a truck driver. I have a DUI (2010,1st offense, misdemeanor) on my record. Can I get my CDL, and will I be able to get hired on anywhere? Or is this all a pipe dream, waste of time? I'm also a 12 yr Marine Iraq Vet. Thanks in advance for any and all help/advice.
