Hey guys!! Got an email about some comments. I am still with prime. Still enjoying it very much! I’m currently parked waiting out this lovely storm, I’m sure it not the only one. At least I get to watch the football games today haha. I actually ran into Paul F a couple months ago at a receiver so that was pretty nice! We were both actually talking about how we needed to get in here and update everyone. Thanks for checking on me. I hope you all are doing well.

I wanted the extra space of the full size. I have my dog with me and I didn't want to deal with having to take out the lassanger seat for more room it would've driven me crazy feeling like it was cluttered. I even have the top bunk folded up to make it seem more roomy. I have rugs and stuff on the floor to make it more comfy in here. Bought a really nice mattress pad so my bed feels likes it's a cloud. Love it! You should have no issue getting a lightweight. I would reccomend an international lightweight there is more storage in them.
I'll probably fly unless by the time they confirm my training date the tickets are over $500. Then my inner-frugality will take over and force me to take a 15-18 hour bus lol. Fortunately I can take the Megabus from Birmingham to Memphis to St. Louis and I'll only have to deal will Greyhound from St. Louis to Springfield. Glad to hear you are enjoying going solo! I noticed your truck and another drivers truck on here are full size. Is there a reason you got a full size truck? I'm hoping to get a lightweight for the extra pay.

Ok a little update on me. I know over been terrible at updating lately. But my first few weeks solo have been... a breath of fresh air. It's been so nice getting to play music as loud as I want, stoping where I want to. And sleeping when the truck is STOPPED is so wonderful. And just being able to be alone. I've always been a fan of my me time. It feels wonderful to have it back. I have my dog with me and he is loving it. It took him a bit to get used to all the noises but he is ok with the now. I did have a sketchy 02 location in Jersey in the week hours of the night today but it all worked out. I'm at my 90 now. Waiting, waiting and waiting... I just want out of Jersey already lol.

My CDL Training Diary With Prime Inc
No driving for 3 days? That's a little much even with tight loads. Dispatch should know he has a student. You should be doing the bulk of the driving and he should be driving after you get tired and need a break. But defienitkh not 3 days in a row. PSD is for YOU to learn how to drive the truck. You won't learn any of the other things like all the Qualcomm stuffily the macros and stuff but it's so you get comfortable behind the wheel. Essentially it's to give you enough information and confidence to pass you drivers test when you get back. TNT will be for all that other stuff. As for the backing... I didn't get to do Much backing on PSD either, backing in the real world is much different that backing for the test. I practiced all my backing for the test once we got back to test out. You will learn all the reference points and where to watch the cones then. Pretrip... should definitely be working with you on that. Especially the air break test. Maybe when you're at a shipper or receiver ask him "hey can we run the the whole pretrip since we are waiting anyways?" Good luck my man! I know it's tiring out there so don't stress too much about updating us. We know you will once you get a chance and feel like it.
