You are going to have to list the suspension for the "fail to pay" - and in the details, elaborate that is was a "fail to pay", not for moving violation penalty of other reason.
So you have a Red Light Ticket also, on your driving record? How recent? Anything else?
Rick
No, those were the two major incidences. Red light/Suspended license and a reckless driving technically 8 years ago.
Also, I do recall a speeding ticket from 5/6 years ago. But that's IT!
I feel like this could really effect me as a new hire.
You need to know the dates. They will ask for three years worth...but suspensions, DUI etc they may ask "have you ever" questions.
Be sure to read the question and give only what they want.
Well I have a suspension AND a reckless, should I be concerned?

10 year old driving issue - you are probably OK.
Has your record been CLEAN SINCE THEN? Did you get SUSPENDED ALSO?
Rick
I don't recall it being suspended for the reckless, I don't think it was. But my license was suspended a couple years back for not paying a Red light camera Ticket, thus it wasn't really suspended due to points so much as failure to appear and pay fines. Would that effect me?

In december of 2007 I was involved in an car accident which was later determined to be reckless. I was told a reckless driving stays on your record for 10 years, but this is not completely true. I later found out that it is actually 10 years from the "last date of action" as I was put on probation due to the accident. The end of my probation is considered the "last date of action" which was in 2009. If I were to get a CDL, would a reckless driving conviction from that long ago put me at a MAJOR disadvantage? Will it be a MAJOR disadvantage from a hiring standpoint, being that it was so long ago? I heard reckless driving charges are only a problem for 3 years. I'm considering a trucking career, will this be a big deal?

Reckless Driving Charge
You brought up a good point, All of these incidences occurred in California, I am in Florida now. When trucking companies do a background of your driving record is it a NATIONAL DATABASE from ALL counties and states? Will a speeding ticket show up from over 3 years ago?
