Sailor Jerry's Bio

I am fairly new to trucking! After having sailed for near 10 years in the United States Merchant Marine on a U.S. Navy owned research vessel, I caught a staph infection that ended my time at sea (probably some 3rd world creeping crud..). During my recovery from emergency surgery, I concentrated on my Country Music songwriting skills. Now with a CDL A with a TWIC card, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples and Tanker endorsements, I'm back to figuring out how to support my wife and 2 kids, but still marketing my music to Nashville. Being away from home is familiar to us, as my sailing rotations had me out for 4 months + at a time.

Greyhound Bus to company-sponsored CDL training

I was on a Greyhound a few weeks ago from SW Florida to our Jacksonville terminal. The guy 2 seats up from me was peeing his pants and puking on the floor. Every breath burned my nose on that ride for hours. I told the driver to get him off the bus or else put up hazmat placards Lol.
