Working on the "Roehl" Road

I currently work for Roehl. I like them - Every company has its fault but Roehl has yet to do me wrong. 2 weeks ago I went through the ice/snow storm that went through Indy. I shut down & called in telling them I thought the roads were to bad. NOTHING was said to me except "just let us know when you can safely drive, & we will reschedule your delivery" that was it. You going VAN, refer, or Flatbed?

Almost Embarrassed to Post Picture

Yes I drove this load (when I was driving VAN) 1050 miles. looks kinda bare back there huh. Only one small paper roll. It was a 2 part load - the first one was only 100 miles. That part had 12 paper rolls. Sad part I had a strong head winds for 2 days so my fuel millage wasn't all that great......

Starting with Swift

Got your info - I will call my recruiter in the AM I still have her contact info...

Papa bear...keep in mind that Roehl has a couple of recruiters who deal only with the GYCDL program. The one I dealt with was Kim Calhoun. She was very professional and everything she said was correct. Maybe Brad passed you on to someone else.

Good luck. I start back with Roehl on 1/22 and am looking forward to seeing how things turnout.

I still hope that my Recruiter maybe just took some vacation over Christmas, but still needing info and can’t get it is hard.

After great help her in the Forums, and no return Information trough Rhoel. I now decided I am gonna start my journey with Swift. Every Information to the training and just in General about Swift is appreciated. I have one big stone out of my way, today i got my 2 Year DOT Physical. Now im finishing my High Road Cdl training on her, and as soon as I feel comfortable I go to get my clp. Then the journey with Swift can go on.

My girlfriend is standing 100% behind me. The rest of my Family is trying to convince me that i would be better of with a second job to my full time job, just to get bills paid. So how i gonna handle the situation with them I dont know yet.

Thats all for now i really so far have just good experience with my Swift recruiter so i hope this continues.

Yes sad about Roehl because that was the first company i was Interested there Program sounded good with training. But there's no way of getting in contact with my Recruiter, so that is just a bad Situation.

That would be awesome. Because i would like to get things moving. Only Problem is that Brad seems to be a busy Recruiter, because i never reach him for anything.

I agree with G-Town - every company has a mile amount away from the terminal that you take the truck home. At Roehl that is 50 miles from a terminal you can take it home (with the trailer)

Roehl would not hire me right out as a flatbed driver because of the area I live. So I went van & was told 30 days after I am out of my training status I could switch - So that is what I did - with Roehl the second training there is no OTR training all local witch is nice as yo see more loads is a shorter time. Roehl also pays you during all training... Any questions please ask
