Got cdl in sept 2017 never got to use them due to my current job in about 4 mths I will be done with this job should I take a refresher course before applying for trucking jobs

Do I have to sign up for medical, health, and dental benefits with the trucking company if i have military medical, health, and dental benefits? Also whats are good & bad weekly costs regarding these benefits? What are the average weekly cost for single people and family plans?

I got a following too close 2017 after a lady tries to beat the light changing from yellow to red on a rainy day she went about about halfway then decided to back up and winded up backing into me. I just paid the ticket didn't think about going to court and challenging it . So now I get my CDL and see that following too close is a major violation. I'm getting out the military in Jun 2019 (7 years,4mths). At the time I had a GA license but I surrendered them in order to get my CDL in VA. I checked my VA driving record and it didn't transfer over. Will I still be able to get a job?

With 17 months left on active duty about when is a good time to start talking with company recruiters? I already have my CDL but im not using them at all in the military. If it's possible I was thinking about trying to volunteer at a company after work and on the weekends to get some more training and experience until I get out.

How to find out what's on my background record? I had 2 misdemeanor charges against me and they both were dismissed. Damage to property less than 1000 (door) & assault and battery. Am I disqualified from trucking?
