Greetings, I'm just a pretty laid back 34yo Army Vet who is finding his way into trucking, I'm tired of grinding away at the 9-5 life and am looking for my great start. Currently I hold no CDL but that soon is to change, I'm looking forward to a life OTR,
I've grown up around trucks and been around trucking my whole life, just figured I'd give it a shot, I learned to drive an 1960 something Mac COE when I was 13 on the family sod farm during the summers pulling and staging empty flat beds in the fields to be loaded and pulling the loaded flats to the yard so our drivers could drop/hook and run sod out to the customers. But never got into trucking beyond that

Jim Palmer here I hope to come,
Greetings everyone, I'm Eirik and I'm in the process of pulling the trigger on Jim Palmer,
A little background on me, I'm 34yo, single, male, never married and no attachments, army vet,
I'm currently going through the recruiting process with JP to attend their CDL school, I'm confident everything will clear fine as I don't have and current traffic issues, (everything is 10yo or older)
This fourm has been invaluable in helping me reach my decision to start this new chapter in my life. I hope is some small way I can contribute back.
This whole lifestyle change has been about a 1 year decision making process for me. This is not something I've decided to do "spur of the moment"
Thank you and more to follow as I travel further down the road on this exciting journey!

Update,
I should find out today or tomorrow if Jim Palmer is a go,
I've done all I can do and it's now out of my control.
I'm confident everything will work out.
