PackRat, I leave Springfield for Joplin this Sunday afternoon, and my orientation starts Monday morning. Orientation is from Monday to Thursday, then I'll be paired with my trainer and hit the road. I will start a new diary thread once my orientation starts.

Day 19 - Test Day
Had my CDL exam at Strafford, MO at 7:30 this morning... I PASSED! Thank you Trucking Truth for the great advice and encouragement! Pretty much done with school, now it's on to Joplin for orientation with CFI. I'll start a new post when I begin my orientation and training. If any of y'all have any questions about TDDA, post them here and I'll do my best to answer them.

Days 16, 17, 18 (Week 4)
Hey gang, sorry for the late update... there's been a lot going on, and I've just been too tired at the end of the past few days!
TDDA was open this past Saturday AND Sunday, I was definitely glad to get lots of extra practice in on my pretrip and yard maneuvers, and even got some extra road time on Saturday afternoon.
It's been "crunch time" the past three days, getting my road driving and backing polished up for my CDL test tomorrow. The instructor's comments on my road evaluation sheet for today read "ready for testing", that gave me a much-needed confidence boost! Not feeling complacent by any means, though. It's all on me now to pass the exam.
Time to get some sleep, got to get up at 5 in the morning to catch my ride to the test site. I'll let y'all know how it goes tomorrow, and thanks for reading!
