Got my CDL back.

I got my CDL back and things are going great. I make .60 a mile now as a company driver. I used this site to study to get my CDL permit. I just wanted to thank everyone for any advice they gave or any comments. I recommend this site all the time to other truckers or future truckers.

CDL suspended for 12 months.

The 4 grand includes the trial, appeal, $500 fine. My lawyer pointed out that there were no witnesses, anybody collecting any damage, no damage to my truck. This is a nightmare.

What physical evidence was presented at your trial that you spent 4 grand defending yourself at?

CDL suspended for 12 months.

I trained in Jacksonville Florida. They had over 300 people there training at once. I got about 5 minutes a day behind the wheel. After I left I heard they changed there training to be more like CREnglands where you are out making money after 10 days. I was told when I went to CRST that because I drove before I would only be there for the most 3 weeks. I was there for over a month on my dime. I am glad that it was better for you than it was for me but if I and many other people that were there for training did not leave you would have gone through the same thing I did. I was there in 2018. But I am here looking for advice on my situation I am in now. Keep on trucking.

I went thru CRST's training September 2019......School is 3 weeks (4 days are in orientation at the terminal/Riverside Cal.) I had my CDL in 10 days, then out with a trainer for 28 days (because he didn't want me off his truck on day 21)

So how is their training so long? lol Now I am transferring to their sister company Gardner, which I go tomorrow for a road test @ noon piece of cake.....To be solo in the western 6

CDL suspended for 12 months.

I went to CRST and it would have taken months to get through there training. I went to CREngland for 10 days of training. I was there three months then I was sent home because of where I live in Florida they let me go and then I went to TransAm.

What happened with CRST?

Last time you posted something, you had just gotten your CDL reinstated and you planned on going to CRST. That was 1 year, 9 months ago.

CDL suspended for 12 months.

Last year I was in Maschuset making a delivery to the stop and shop warehouse. I was there for 17 hours. I finally got unloaded and wanted to go to the nearest truck stop. I looked at the company GPS and it said there was Mike's Truck Stop 16 miles away. I headed to that truck stop but could not find it. I looked at the GPS for another truck stop. I was driving and I was stopped by the police. He asked me if I hit anything. I said I don't think so. He said he was told that by the damage at the scene there would be obvious damage to my truck. I got out and we walked around the truck I did not see any damage but the officer said he sees a scuff mark on the side of the trailer about ten feet up. I looked at it and only seen that the trailer was dirty. He said to wait in the truck. About twenty minutes later he said I could go and gave me a post-it note with the officer's name from the scene on it. He said I could go. I asked him what the quickest way to get to I-95. He said to follow him. He drove two blocks and there was I-95 and I went on my way. About two weeks later I got two tickets in the mail for duty to stop on a traffic device and duty to stop on a car. I did not have any damage to my truck so I did not think it was me. I hired a lawyer and paid almost $4000 in legal bills and was found guilty for one ticket the one duty to stop on a traffic device. On the day of the trial, my lawyer called me and asked if I could get there the judge wanted me there. I was in Nebraska driving and the trial was in Rhode Island, I told her I could not get there can she ask for a continues. She is my lawyer who said she would try. She called me later and said I was found guilty for one of the tickets and I had to pay a fine of $500. I thought to myself this is how the town makes money. My lawyer said we could appeal it and I did but the same judge turned it down. Then I got a letter from my home state Florida saying my CDL is being suspended for 12 months for leaving the scene of an accident. I did not know duty to stop meant leaving the scene. This was in July 2019. What are the chances of any company hiring me after I get my CDL back? There was no damage to my truck and nobody showed up to the court to collect on any damages. When the police officer stopped me he said I was the first truck he saw and that there would be obvious damage to my truck. I bought the transcript to my trial and they said a pole was broke in half, so there would have been more than a scuff mark on my trailer. This has been a nightmare and I was wondering if anybody could give me advice. Do you think any company will hire me after I get my CDL back? Also, I was driving for TransAm Trucking when this nightmare that I am in happen. Thank you.

Passed written test.

I finally got my license in Illinois fixed and go Monday to get my CDL here in Florida. It takes two days for the clear up to post in Florida and that is why I have to wait until Monday. I should be starting at CRST the following Monday. I drove over the road from 1989 to 1991. I went thru truck driving school before that, it was 8 weeks and run by the state of Florida. I hope that will count for something and I get my full CDL on Monday. Thank you for all the replies and help from this site. Oh I forgot to say it was a old parking ticket from 1983. It cost me $70 and a lost week of time. Keep on trucking.

Wil-Trans CDL Training Diary

I used this site to study for my permit and passed the first time. I took five different test and passed them all. General knowledge, combination, air brakes, D/T, tanker. I would recommend this site.

Passed written test.

I passed 5 test today, general knowledge, combination, air brakes, D/T, tanker. I did not get my license because there was something on my license in another state that I lived in 30 plus years ago. I had the same problem 7 years ago when I renewed my license. I called the state back then and they said there was nothing on my license there. I renewed my license and now 7 years later I try to get back into truck driving and have the same problem. I was on the phone at the DMV in my state now for two hours with the old state I lived in. I thought I could get them to fax a letter saying that nothing was on my license there, but no such luck. I went home without my CDL and called for another four hours to try to find out what is going on, but nobody could tell me anything, they all say they do not see anything on my license. I talk to a manager at the DMV after I called the Governor's office in that state and they connected me to that manager but she could not find out anything too. So I have to wait until monday for her to get back with me. This is crazy.

DOT Physical and Medical card

Some CVS give free DOT medical exam in Florida, I don't know about other states. I did a google search for free DOT medical exams near me. I will be taking mine soon.
