Amazon giftcard would be most welcome. Walmart is useful too.

Schneider or Halvor Lines

I did not look into a dedicated account per sais. I think my lack of experience (fresh out of CDL school) is what is holding up the process. I did ask to be contacted when training is available.

Schneider or Halvor Lines

Thank you everyone. The Schneider offer was canceled due not having enough freight to hire/train inexperienced drivers. I am happy to go to Halvor Lines and appreciate the opportunity to learn. I am so lucky to have finished CDL school in Feb.

Cat rolling the window down

I had a friend that traveled with cats and she taped a piece of plastic over the switch so the cats couldn't activate it. Think of a small pvc pipe cut in half turned upside down over it. When she wanted to put the window down she could maneuver under the arch to use the switch. Not pretty but effective.

Schneider or Halvor Lines

Hello, I got my class A in February and endorsements , TWIC card, passport and DOTexam done. I have pre-hire letters from Halvor Lines (have a great pet policy but lower pay) and Schneider OTR (east 37). I am leaning towards Schneider but would like some input. My husband may loose our health insurance at the end of May.

It shouldn’t require a pandemic, but we’ll take what we can get!

Pet transport? RI to MN.

That's why I went with Halvor Lines, no size limit and up to 2 pets. I will make less money to start but I get to be with my babies. I do think a ramp may be required. He is very easy to care for and low energy but 113 lbs. Think it is possible as I drive him all over the country in a Prius! Laura J.

That's what I was thinking when I read this earlier. A 50 pound dog is a chore, but a full grown Mastiff? Many companies also have a weight limit that's imposed. They may allow a 10-20 pound leeway, but an added 75 pounds is not going to slide.

Thank you for the info. I was really excited about Halvor Lines as they have a good finishing program and great pet policy. Think I may try and wait it out. Laura J

Pet transport? RI to MN.

Hi all, I just got my CDL and was set to start with Halvor Lines. I got an orientation date and left my bull mastiff with my mom in RI. Not 12 hours after leaving I find out that training and orientation are canceled. How do I get my dog back to MN? Anyone know of pet transport services? I just drove from MN to MI, MI to RI, RI to AZ and AZ to MN so I could use a break and need to earn some money at my gas station job.
