I’ve already failed my road test three times already. If I get kicked out from this training program I’ll just continue my work history as a Commercial Licensed Class B driver with tanker and hazmat endorsement. I will however would like to remove that manual transmission restriction from my class B license, Get better at driving a manual transmission and then in the future try to get my class A license with an automatic transmission get better at driving a semi truck with an automatic transmission and then remove the manual transmission restriction dead last.

Hey, it sounds like you're really struggling. Is this typical for you when trying to learn something new?

You're now in your fourth program and it sounds like you still aren't really grasping what it takes to pass the driving test. We've seen a lot of people who failed their tests and then went on to pass it after a few more attempts. It's not unusual at all to fail the test a few times, but it is unusual to go through three or four schools and not even get to take the test at your first three.

What are you planning on doing with that license? To be honest with you, passing the test is much less difficult than being a rookie driver trying to drive a truck for a living. Do you think you're up for the challenges that lie ahead? I have no way of knowing how you'd do, but with the level of angst you're experiencing now I'm quite concerned about your understanding of what you're getting into. I don't want to discourage you but maybe this isn't the best career choice for you right now. Do you have some other skills you can use to earn an income? What type of trucking job were you expecting to get into?

You didn't even mention what is oftentimes the hardest part of the testing for people pursuing a class A license - the pre-trip inspection. How are you doing on that part? Are you able to memorize all the pieces and the proper wording?

It took me three months to memorize the pre-trip inspection. I also was able to discover my method of learning because of this.

I’ve attended 3 class A trucking schools which were Government funded. I’ve used up all the hours of training at each trucking school but was not able to improve on the backing up skills. So I was never given the opportunity to test out at the DMV with these three truck in schools.

I am now attending a 4th trucking school but this time It’s through an employer who is authorized to issue the class A license. I barely passed my backing up skills on my first try with this company but now I failed my road test twice. I am already over 12 weeks into my training with 8 hours of 1 on 1 training. I’ve been given the most time to train and I am the last person to get the license and possibly the first person to flunk from this program. Two trainees who started well after I did with this program were able to pass the road test and get their class A license. I have one more attempt to pass the road test. I’ve read up and took notes on how to drive a 10 speed and I still cannot seem to keep it in gear put it in the correct gear. I just want someone to know how much effort I put into this and I am still not able to get this license.

I ****ing failed my third and final attempt at the Road test after being 12 weeks into my training that’s it for me.

Please excuse the report on you I clicked on the wrong button. I just want to mention to you that to succeed in anything you have to go through **** that is ****ing difficult and of story.
