Please don't give up on trucking! It's just if one failed test goes down, your career is over before it starts. If your 40 days in, then you only need to wait 50 days. I know, it seems forever, but you'll get your chance. It would be awful if we said, "oh, don't worry, you'll be okay" then you get to school and they send you home and put a refusal for drug testing on your record🤢🤢😓. Start the countdown to 90 days! Don't shave your head, because they will take hair from other places that grow much slower!

The question is, will you be able to get into Prime? If not, many companies use hair follicle and if you wait after school for the 90 days to go by for hair, you run the risk of sitting for 30 days. If if was me, I would wait 90 days before even going to school. I'd be clean then I wouldn't even have to bring it up at the school.

Thank you. I just wanted advice from people who have been doing this and know the industry. Will it be a problem if I get my CDL in August but dont start driving for a company until October. My surgery recovery will be all of September.
Plus doing 6 months OTR then going out for surgery does not guarantee you keep your job. According to FMLA, you need 1500 hours of work the calender year before to qualify, unless the company allows, to secure your employment. Therfore you would have had to work at your company for 1500 hours during 2018 to go out in 2019.
get it done now. they always have placements.
A few years ago my 20 year old son had his removed July 20th, was at the lake wakeboarding a week later, and was blowing through a saxophone at college band camp the first week of August. It should only take you a week to 10 days to recover. Just be careful of the pain medicine. Get a list from the company doctor before surgery so your doctor knows what you can take.

If you've never been west of Denver on I70 I wouldn't want my first time experience In a unbaffled tanker. It's hairy enough in a four door sedan, lol. Good luck and safe travels through the flat lands!

Ok, so I was in orientation, went to do my drug test for DOT, and disclosed I had smoked weed 4 months ago. I passed my UA but got dismissed because of the disclosure. They said I needed to be clean for 6months and to go to SAP in 2 months and get a letter saying I am clean. Does this mean the same as a failed DOT drug test even though I tested clean?

Message from our local Love’s Travel Store
Love’s is continuing to help protect the health and safety of its employees and customers. To further that commitment, we are converting all self-service roller grills, the coffee and drink bars and the delis to full-service by Love’s team members at all Love’s locations beginning at 7 a.m. local time, Monday, March 23. To be clear, this change means only Love’s team members will serve products like hot dogs, coffee and fountain drinks. We will continue to follow proper safety glove procedures while operating the full-service stations. In addition, approximately every 30 minutes, we will trade out grill tongs and fountain nozzles with clean, sanitized replacements.
Due to safety precautions, we’re also making changes to our food offerings and restaurant hours of operation. At locations where we have three restaurants, one of them will be closed. All other restaurants will be moving to modified business hours to allow for an overnight closing. Starting Monday, March 23, new restaurant hours will be 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. local time. Our restaurants will continue to offer take-out and drive-thru options during these new hours but not during the overnight closure.
These restaurant changes are not intended to reduce work hours of Love’s team members. Rather, this will allow Love’s team members to better accommodate customers and focus on enhanced cleaning protocols, all while we continue to provide the WOW experience they expect at Love’s. All Love’s locations remain open. We thank you for your continued business and patience.
