One of the things that really attracted us to Millis was the small class sizes. He really didn't want a mill, wants somewhere they're invested in his success and he'll be invested in the company in return. He's not a jumper so it had to be a good "feel" if you know what I mean. They also seem like straight shooters which is especially important with wanting cost regional with 2 younger kids. Honesty wins every time.

That's a great idea, thanks for the tip but he doesn't have the permit yet. He's testing next week! Will keep that in mind, maybe his recruiter can skip him in once he has it. April 1 dems live forever but it'll be here before we know it.
I may be speaking out of turn but My husband started in Cartersville today and said there were several that didn't show up. Don't know if it is too late but it might be worth a call

He should be ok, we're go to the range on occasion but not regularly. Glad to hear they have great instructors! He's working on the cdl prep here so that he can hopefully snag a spot sooner if someone flakes. I've read that their Trenton class usually has less people than GA so that should be in his favor too.
How is he with gun shots? There is an outdoor shooting range right across the fence from the terminal. I could never park there for much time as it was a PTSD "trigger" for myself. Great instructors there, though.

Hey all, just wondering if anyone has attended the Millis training in Trenton, Ohio and has any info or tips. We are very close to Cartersville, GA however they don't have any openings until May so my husband took the OH slot for April 1. Just curious, thanks! He's not much of a writer so prob won't post- he just lurks and reads!

Great, thanks! We know he'll have to pay back regardless, it just really threw us off to see that in the application portion. No worries on fulfufilling length he is good about longevity. Filling out Millis today also - those are his top 2. Fingers crossed!
A lot of companies will require assuming responsibility for repayment of training costs if a driver quits within a specified amount of time.
there will be no liability if he doesn't go
There will only be a problem if he goes but then quits before the specified interval....often it is a year but companies differ slightly on that.
The Roehl GYCDL program is a good one....very thorough....and some will like the relatively short amount of road training time required and that Roehl trains on a solo driving basis. For some, the road training won't be long enough but coupled with the GYCDL program, I think it is good so long as the person is a quick learner.
Hey all! My husband and I are doing his application to Roehl. Well, on the last page it won't let you finish the application unless you acknowledge and accept the loan. Is this standard practice? Could we be on the hook if he doesn't even go? Thanks in advance!

Introduction followed by Millis Training Institute Diary.(Cartersville, GA)
That's a great question that my husband was just wondering earlier. Granted he'll be training at a different location, but do they let anyone have "extra" time outside of class if they're struggling with anything?
