Phone hot spot connection

I have a laptop computer that I would like to use in my truck. On my phone settings, there is a switch for ‘hot spot’ which I have turned on. Does anybody know what I need to do next to connect the phone to the computer? Sorry for being such a tech Neanderthal.

After doing all this, go to your laptop and click on the wireless button at the bottom right and select your phone's hotspot name. Enter password and there you go!
