Hey everyone just a check in to say hey. Been really busy lately and have had no time to do anything but drive and sleep lol. I wanted to take the time to jump in and ask a question. I have a good job right now and the money is good. Only downfall is my home time. Missing my wife and kids. Im home on weekends which is cool but regardless still miss them. Now the question I have.

I got a call from a JB Hunt recruiter and just as an fyi I have not been actively looking for a new job. Anyway he calls and asks how everything is going blah blah blah. To make a long story short I was offered a local job. Home everyday work every other Saturday. Job only goes a radius of 125 miles from Grand Rapids. Do you think this recruiter is telling me the truth? Also the job is kind of a 3rd shift job. Start at 6pm and work 10-12 hours. Im so stuck on what to do.

I use it to keep up on sports. Works really well. I dont use it for anything though personally. I just follow some sports sites and teams and ESPN and have their tweets come to my phone.

I have the Rand McNally 720 as well. Only complaint is that it doesn't make mashed potatoes.

Very good unit, DON'T but it at a truck stop as they over price it. Look online or buy a refurbished one from Rand website.

Dang Old School. I was home as well In Grand Rapids. About 40 min from me. Would of been awesome to pick your brain over lunch or dinner. Stay safe out there man.

I have the Rand 720. The thing is amazing. I can only speak for that one though because I have not tried any other but will say I have had no problem at all with it at all.

Never did flatbed but done a lot of dry van. Dry van has a whole lot of drop and hook which saves on load/unload times. Now there can be some live load or unload but not as much as other freight types. No tarping.

Dry van normally has short runs 700 to 1100 miles but you you get more loads so the miles equal up being the same.

Remember that -30 and -40 degree weather this year a few times? Yea did not have to get out and tarp.

So far I have had no problem with anyone telling me what is going on ahead when I ask. Its a little more irresponsible having all the pointless conversations that go on on the damn thing. If you wanna chat with someone figure out another station to go to and talk over there.

I leave mine off as well. No need to listen to that garbage on there all day long. If i see something I need to warn someone about Ill turn it on and say something. Or if I hit a lot of traffic Ill turn it on to see if there is any talk as to why there is a traffic jam. Other then that its off with all the pointless nonsense going on in there lol.
