Doing all my research and studying for the exam

Bret if it wasn't for this web site, I probably would have failed my TIP, I have been lurking and reading and your site should be given to all classrooms. I passed my TIP in General knowledge no problem, Failed on combination, (but passed the second time with one 1 wrong), passed Air breaks no problem. Thank you EVERYONE including Brett, very well prepared information.

With that said; I start with the truck in school on Monday, Doing the pre trip, coupling and uncoupling and learning to shift. Then it will be half the day on the range and the other half on the road (Look out veteran truck drivers, newbie on the roadshocked.pngshocked.pngembarrassed.gifshocked.png ), In three weeks will be taking my State test, and I'm sure I will or may have some questions on that. I'm looking forward to being solo soon, as this has been my dream for over twenty years. May the Lord be with us, as we run these Loads...

Going to USExpress???

ThinksTooMuch: Thanks for the reply, some of the questions that I have about U.S. Express are:

1) What is the realistic starting pay per mile a graduate can expect? 2) What is the realistic average miles a graduate can expect? 3) What is the policy on home time? 4) How long is Orientation, and is it paid? 5) How long have you worked for U.S. Express? 6) Have you been satisfied with U.S. Express?

Sorry for so many questions, I'm just looking for a company that I'm going to be satisfied with and make it a long term marriage. For the past 15 years I have been doing Janitorial and just tired of jumping from company to company because one company under bided. This last company was hell to work for. The customer hated to see me leave since I was with them for 15 yrs. Decided to get into trucking.

I have a lot of apps out there and have narrowed it down to about 8 companies, just looking for the right fit for me and the company.

Going to USExpress???

I currently drive for Werner and it has taken me all of 4 months to get totally sick and fed up with them?

I am considering US Xpress. Do they use e-logs and have EZPass in their trucks?

What is the overall consensus of this company?

I'm currently a Student and a recruiter came in and talked to us from US Express, I'm interested in getting a current drivers point of view on US Express with some questions that I have. I have read on here some good things about US Express, and also some negative comments.

Newbie here

Good evening to TT, I have been following most of the post in the forum and I have to say I have enjoyed everyone of them. I started a Truck Driving course back in September at a local college, but due to circumstances I had to withdraw. I start at another truck driving school January 13 and will be done in February. I'm looking forward to getting back into learning, and thanks to Trucking Truth I'm learning bit by bit. Today, part of the requirements before class starts had to fill out 20 applications, thought my hand was going to fall off. Turning them in to the adviser at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow for her to fax. Hopefully I will get some results. Again it is a pleasure reading all the forums and will continue to read.
