CFI Finisher Help!

Big Scott I sent you another email 😁

Cece, I think you contacted me a while back. Once you finish with your trainer and go solo, contact me and I will give you the number for my friend who is a CFI driver and trainer. He's a great resource if you need an extra person to help. Good luck.

CFI Finisher Help!

Hillman, Idk your gender but the women we all had to wait longer one because I went right around the holidays and two CFI has a policy where a male trainer has to be certified and go through certain prerequisites to train a women . And there just arent alot of trainers that are women. The gentlemen from my orientation all got out with a trainer either that week or the following. I wouldn't worry. My orientation was organized and made sense. Also I requested a non smoker and no pets. So the holidays and me being more specific caused my wIt to be prolonged. Cfi Is a smart choice 😊

How long were you home before they emailed about a trainer? I'm heading there the 23rd. I dont want to be sent home with no money earned.

CFI Finisher Help!

Nothing to be forgiven, truly. I hear you. And I appreciate someone who is straight to the point in their speech.

3 weeks with a trainer then I'm on the road solo, very intimidating but I'm ready to learn! I'll definitely just relax on working out. I'm not skinny but I'm not close to being overweight. I really was pushing it because I'm nervous about gaining weight on the road.

Thank you for the advice.

Forgive my abruptness, but what is more important right now: Getting a career started or some hobby to stay fit?

If it were me, I would get in gear with learning how to operate an 18 wheeler, prior to ending up with a Class A CDL, and nobody will hire me because I have a stale license. I would tough out that injury if at all possible, then maybe six months after going SOLO IN YOUR OWN TRUCK, go back to the doctors for a reevaluation.

CFI Finisher Help!

Packrat,

Yesss 🙃🥴 Podiatrist says it didnt heal properly. The surgery they want to do has a 3 week recovery. She said that USUALLY makes things better but if I'm in the rare group where it doesnt a more invasive surgery will need to be done but that is a 3 month recovery in full hard cast. Hoping i wont need that one.

As far as how bad my foot is it only hurts when I'm working out or if I for some reason made a whole day of walking like an amusement park or something.

I'm worried because all I've gotten is CDL School and my CDL out of the way. I havent touched a truck since November. This would be a huge setback. Would I need to go through school all over again ? I also dont want to screw CFI

Is this the same foot injury from 2 1/2 months ago, before you were getting ready to attend orientation at Crete?

CFI Finisher Help!

Hope everyone remembers me 🤟🏾😎

Recap: I did orientation in Joplin, MO. November 18. We were informed their wasnt enough trainers for everyone to go out. I was sent him and told to wait 3 or so weeks and to check in everyday before 0830. I've been doing so and the training department has thanked me for my patience.

In the meantime I have been doing my boxing thing 🥊 working out and hanging out with my husband. Well I kinda hurt my foot but no Biggie I'm thinking. WELL MY PODIATRIST CALLED she wants to do a surgery she said it can wait. We can schedule sometime in February. Same day (today) Training department CFI emails me saying they have a finisher and can I be back in Joplin by Thursday for my 3 week finisher training.

My experienced and smart trucking family do i tell CFI they want to do a surgery in the future and head out with my finisher or..... ??? Idk what to do honestly. Help!

4th attempt failed. 99 degree strikes again

I went through Truck Driving School. It was 4 weeks. I DID NOT GET 90 ALLEY DOCK AT ALL. It was the day before my test day. A random instructor I had never worked with I just asked him what he does he showed me. I got back in the truck and it just clicked. when people say that light bulb will come on it will. Dont give up. I encourage you. Maybe look at it a different way then you've been trying. BEST OF LUCK YOU CAN DO THIS!
