I'm an old fart. I got out of college years ago and took a job driving a truck while i searched for a career because the pay was good. My first day i showed up at 4:00AM and all the drivers had a short meeting. The supervisor tossed me a set of keys, told me to warm up the truck and do a pretrip. I walked outside expecting to see a 24' straight truck. I mean, thats a truck, right? There sat a row of clean, white tractor trailers. Stress from zero to 100% in 2 nanoseconds. International cabover sleepers with 48' & 53' trailers and I was going to drive around the big cities around Ohio peddling freight? What did i agree to? I drove for about 3 years, no accidents, no tickets, 100% safe and successful. Eventually i moved up in the company and left driving behind. i have a few good years left, am sick and tired of what i do. i always remembered my driving experience as mostly a fun challenge and lots of windshield time to develop my plans for the world! I have decided to go back to driving for the last segment of my career, to be in control of my little slice of the pie, to "work with" dispatchers that have 4 bad loads and route you 180 degrees away from your home-time destination, finicky receivers with a dock already full of freight, unloading by hand a truck full of "no touch freight", arriving to unload on a Friday afternoon to find the dock locked up tight until Monday morning. Well, now i remember. It wasn't all fun and games was it? 😂 Oddly though, that holds some type of allure for me now. Maybe it's solving a series of problems no-one on earth cares about... but you. See ya out there! Once again!

What is the Best Trucking GPS?
I read reviews on Rand McNally units and they describe an awful product. I would have thought the leader in bound maps would be a good choice. Anyone have a recommendation on a good make and model? I think A 7” screen should be about the right size.
