Sounds like things are going good for Steveo so glad to hear (read) about your experiences. Setting in my room at CRST in Cedar Rapids. First day of orientation tomorrow. Hoping to meet MillionMiler24 sometime tomorrow. This is the first day in the last 3 weeks that i can actually relax and take a breath and let the fact that i have achieved something that i had always dreamed about sink in. Its truly a great feeling.. now the real learning begins. Steveo keep up the good work and please keep sharing your experiences with us...it is nice to see that with the right attitude and work ethics that this is a great way to make a great living.

Steveo hopfully one of those bodies will be mine by this time next week. Safe travels and keep up the good work. So glad to hear about your experiences and in a positive light. I am feeling positive about my choice to go with CRST. And at my age (58) there are not a whole lot of new career changes that i would want to do. This is the one thing i have always secretly wanted to do since i was old enough to drive. And with the support of my loving wife i am getting closer to the attaining that dream

MillionMiler i do not know how the system works on getting hooked up with trainer but if i am allowed to request a trainer i would most definitely request you. Is there anyway to do a private chat or some way to exchange emails and or numbers on this site. I would like to give you my info but dont want to break any site policies here.

Packrat. Yes at CWW..really enjoying the school. The work is hard and a lot of info being givin in the short amount of time we have here. The instructors are all experinced real world truck drivers and seem to really want those of us that want to learn to learn. Millionmiler24 that would be awesome i would love to be with a trainer such as yourself. I have read many of your post and can tell that you love driving and have the desire to see others do well. I would be honored to be trained by you.

Steveo congrats on this major milestone in this great career. I must say you are correct about getting out of Denver in a knick of time. I am here close to Denver starting my third week of CDL Training and there is about six inches of snow on the ground and more coming. Suppose to test out this Thursday but do not know what to expect. Hopefully it will let up soon, as i cant wait to get to Cedar Rapids and get hooked up with a trainer. Just not the one you had. Keep up the great work and please keep the updates coming. It is really nice to see someone with your positive attitude and great demeanor making it through this very challenging aspect of becoming a professional driver.

Thanks Steveo and Cwc for your replies. Steveo are you getting paid for driving with trainer. I am wondering because that is really great if so after only 14 days in school. I have decided to go with CRST and should be headed off to school the 2nd week in Oct. Also Steveo i noticed in one of your replies somewhere on this great site that you are from the so cal area, used to live in Yucaipa and also Montclair areas myself, now in Kansas... Looking forward to getting started on this new path... Thanks again to all for the input it is such a blessing that this site is available to everyone who is considering taking on this career.
