Handling your ladies time on the road...

Pretty old topic but I was also wondering how you lady OTR Driver’s are handling monthly “gifts?”

Seems like an old post so this may or may not be helpful to anyone but here’s my personal experience and method. I agree that sometimes you can’t stop as often as you’d like. Some days may be ok for stopping every 2-3 hours, while some days every 5-6 hours is all you can manage. Often times we need to stop when we’re not exactly in a convenient place to do so. There are clean ways to handle your business. Keep an emergency cup for bladder relief that you can clean inside and out with baby wipes. Obviously that includes having baby wipes on hand at all times. I also use pet potty pads to put down on the floor so that any “miss” is contained and easily dealt with. Pet potty bags are cheap at the dollar stores or anywhere else, even at truck stops, and make clean and simple clean up and disposal of your messes and products, while still being discreet. And the final bit of important info… adult diapers work really well for containing your period and keeping you more clean and dry down there for long time frames while driving. They hold more than an overnight pad, protect better, and are easy to deal with in your truck. You can rip the sides open to remove it so there’s less mess than trying to pull your underwear down when everything is messy. Roll it up with all your wipes from clean up and put them in a doggy bag and no one has to see or smell anything or know what you’re doing. It’s never pretty handling your period anywhere, but it doesn’t have to be difficult on the road either. You can also sleep on a pet potty pad just as a reinforcement. That is how I manage my period on a truck. I’ve ran team and solo and this has helped in both situations. It is better protection and easier to work with than tampons and pads, and more discrete.

So my suggested list of supplies is this:

Adult diapers Wipes Pet potty pads Pet potty bags Hand sanitizer Plastic emergency cup

Hope this helps someone!
