Anyone from new mexico here? The dmv never answers any number I call and the exam is a pain to repeat.

I have my permit but the closest dmv in NM has been closed and it's going to expire. How do I renew just the cdl permit?

I dropped you a link a few days ago to a topic the includes every required pre-trip inspection item. Your best bet is to study for every inspection item and not worry about the rest.

Also, how would you check the manual transmission fluid? Is it a pink fluid with a dipstick like the ATF in my car? The school trucks have no engine compartment reservoir that is transmission fluid so I suspect it is non serviceable.

Also, how would you check the ATF level?

In the 7 step method in the cdl manual it says "Turn on parking, clearance, side-marker, and identification lights." How is this different from the step above where you turn on the headlights. I thought all the "running lights" come on with the headlights and that's it. There's no other light switch.
