Welcome to the forum Wesley! Thank you for the kind words. It was nice yesterday having somebody come up and shake my hand and tell me thank you for keeping the stores stocked. You say you're preparing for the industry, check out these links especially Brett's book to get an idea of what its like
- Truck Driver's Career Guide
- Brett's Book: The Raw Truth About Trucking (free online version)
- High Road CDL Training Program
- CDL Practice Tests
Where are you at in the process? Just kinda kicking the tires or are you ready to start school?
Thank you Rob, at the moment I'm studying all the material available in the forum to take the test, I passed my medical exam few days ago, but with all this situation here in NJ bcuz of the Virus, MVC is now closed with no idea when we going to get back to a normal life, for a while I keep preparing myself to pass in the test from the first time. Theres a Schneider facility close to my home, so my plans is start with them as soon I get my permit.

Hello everyone, my name is Wesley Santana, I'm from New Jersey and I am not a truck driver, I took the decision to open this new topic just to say thank you for all you drivers out there, I've seeing lots of people saying thanks for all health professionals, what is really deserved, but only few people pay attention in a class of workers who support the nation, definitely, without you guys and gals, no other professional would be able to stand for themselves due to lack of all sort of supplies, products, food, medicines and all material things of we can imagine. In my faith, I pray for all of you, for your safety and for you all have the rewards deserved. I ask you guys to forgive my bad English grammar, as I'm from Brazil and Portuguese is my first language, but living here for 18 years and preparing myself to get into trucking industry. Once more, thanks for all the efforts of all you drivers put, many of you are doing the deliveries far away from home and from your loved ones, stay safe and healthy out there. Thank you very much. I know is not a lot and far from enough, but I'm doing what is in my reach to make you guys know of has people who recognize all of what you have done for this country. Keep doing, keep in the mission.
