Made my decision!!!

Scott, I don't think we've been able to follow a rookie going thru Crete...so I'd really like you to try and keep us updated on your training. AND...we may be able to help you along the way !! Besides...we kinda get attached to our rookies...and like to know how they are doing, and their progress....I'm the mother hen, after allsmile.gif

Thanks both Starcar and Brett will do. I am really looking forward to the new challenge, just retired in may of this year from the navy after 24 great years and I think this job is going to give me what I want with the upward mobility and freedom of being on my own, just really looking forward to it. I will start a diary page here as soon as training starts along with a Video diary as well and that can be followed on youtube at Tigerhawk757. again thanks to all that that gave great insight into the trucking world and hope to make a lot of new friends out there on the road.

Made my decision!!!

Well for the folks that replied to me about which company to go with, and believe me it is a hard and I mean a really hard decision to make. I am going with Crete Carrier. I get my date to attend orientation the closer I get to graduation from school. They want to make sure they have a trainer lined up for me. Will be heading to Pa for 3 days then out on the road for 4 weeks then if all goes well get my own truck. Really want to say thanks for all the help and advice that people gave. This site is great for the new guys coming in and really enjoy reading about everything that goes with the trucking game. To all have a great Holiday season and be safe out there.

Need some advice on companies!

Good morning to all and need some help with a couple of questions. First I am still in school and will graduate 07 Feb 14. I have been offered 3 different jobs from Prime, Crete, and Roehl. Now I have read up on 3 of these companies and have talk to the recruiter from the 3 as well, and as one can imagine they all say there company is the best. With that being said if some one was to start with one of the three which one would the majority go with? I will say this is that Crete has offered the best starting cents per mile, but there is much more to it than just the bottom starting cents per mile. Thanks for the help in advance from another rookie.

Trying To Pick One!

Ok I know everybody has sour grapes about sum thing it is in our nature but I am new to the career path and need honest truths about a couple of companies.

1. Prime good or bad

2. Roehl good or bad

3.melton good or bad

4. crete good or bad.

Again I know people have hang ups with a couple if they don't put the right amount of crap paper in the stalls but since i am just getting into trucking I would really like an unbiased opinion if that is possible. Thanks in advance, Navy Chief, Navy Pride!!!
