Dumb question: where do I go to listen to that podcast?

Old School....thanks for your response. You made some really good points! Dewey has been driving for 20+ years, but lost a job July of 2019 because of a careless driving ticket. He had a heck of a time finding an outfit to hire him, but finally, was hired 2 weeks ago, albeit on a probationary basis. He'll be 72 this winter. Just thought I'd share these few facts with you. :-)

It is said that preexisting conditions, especially in seniors, can exacerbate the virus, so if you have heart issues, it can affect your heart, and so on. Most people my age have preexisting conditions, plus, our immune system is not what it used to be. So, it's very scarey, to me, especially when some have NO SYMPTOMS, but can infect and kill someone my age. Be thankful if you are young & healthy, because that's what's needed to stay well and prevail against this silent enemy

I am a concerned wife....hubby sat down to eat at a Denny's in one of the truckstops in either Nebraska or Missouri, and it concerns me a great deal because we are both seniors. The death rate in the USA from this thing has reached 100,000, which is staggering. How do you older drivers , or any age driver, feel about dining in at a truckstop? Especially if you have family at home? Thanks.

He prefers regional driving....southeast, midwest and west. He doesn't need a huge salary from huge miles cuz of his age, and being on social security. (This is his wife responding).

I don't think so....Dewey is 71 years old and I know driving up that way is a real headache. (I'm Dewey's wife).

Any other demands of a 2nd chance company or just refusal to drive Northeast?

Can anyone suggest trucking companies that might hire you after a "careless driving" is stuck on your MVR? I would have to wait until Sept. to get a job, so was hoping some of you could make suggestions on where I might apply. I live near Atlanta and have 23 years OTR experience. I will not drive up to the northeast, thou. Thanks for any recommendations.

I have a question maybe someone might be able to answer. Lets say our attorney in FL is able to get Dewey a clean GA MVR. Won't that accident still show up on his DAC Report, thus preventing him from being hired somewhere ??? I'm very concerned about this.

Update: My husband, Dewey, hired a lawyer in Jacksonville who said he is 99% sure he can get this straightened out in Duval Co., FL, then it goes to Tallahassee, then to our state of GEORGIA. With the careless driving removed from his MVR here in GA, he should be able to get a driving job, finally. (Btw, Dewey was NOT driving carelessly, rest assured!) What a ride this has been! I will update ya'll when things start to happen. It takes time. Yes, it has cost us additional money, but as Cornelius said above, he has never regretted paying his lawyer to get it fixed!
