Vacation days for truck drivers

Keep in mind that if you don't roll the wheels you don't get paid. So (my guess) when you take off six weeks you don't get paid for six weeks.

And as Rob explains, you must clean out your truck then get a new one when you get back. And I wouldn't be surprised if you have to take another drive test, minimum.

I understand that if i don't roll the wheel, i don't get paid and i am not looking at paid vacations. I am looking at unpaid but will be willing to let me go for atleast 3weeks every 6months after driving for atleast 2years not as a rookie.

Vacation days for truck drivers

In as much as i love to start a new chapter of my life driving these beast. I want to ask if there is a way to accumulate vacation days because i visit my families in Europe twice every year and that is approximately 6weeks/year. Can i still do the same driving big rigs? Because that may be the only clause that may make me drop my passion.

Roehl campuses in WI

They’re both good. I went to appleton and it is a newer terminal and cleaner but not as many people there. Marshfield has the big office and it is the corporate home. Really doesn’t matter which one you go to. I’m from Indy too and it is a good company to go to. I definitely recommend it.

Thank you for your response. Do we get to have like a vacation days(a month) in future after driving solo. Because i got my family living in Europe and would always want to visit twice every year.

Roehl campuses in WI

They have a terminal in Gary, which is just up the road from you. Gary is also the nicest terminal in the company. You will receive good training no matter where you go. I highly recommend them.

I was told since i wanted reefer, Wisconsin is my training place.Gary is for flatbed drivers

Roehl campuses in WI

I have always kept myself busy reading most articles and i find every bit, pains, joys, pleasure to be informative and interesting. I just want to start my application with Roehl and want to know which of the campuses is better Marshfield or Appleton. I will be driving down since it is 5-7 hours from Indianapolis. And what challenges should i be expecting as i have never driven a truck or manual car before? I am an african and also love big rigs.

Off to ROEHL I go!!!

Hey Josh, I haven't been back to the doctor since June and I should really go back and get it checked. But I haven't had no problems, but still gotta go. But if you can hold it for like 2 or 3 hrs you should be good. We gotta do safety checks every 150 miles which it around that. And you can take use it then. Not too bad

Chris M,

I have read all your articles from the beginning to this very last page. I just want to start my application with Roehl and want to know which of the campuses is better Marshfield or Appleton. I will be driving down since it is 5-7 hours from Indianapolis. And what challenges should i be expecting as i have never driven a truck or manual car before?
