New driver failed drug test

I’d also like to add I do not live in a state where marijuana is legal or even anywhere close to a legal state so the thought of my “ so called friends” trying something like that had never crossed my mind

New driver failed drug test

Mr. Curmudgeon wasn’t to suspicious about it there was all types of snack foods there along the table and everyone who knows me knows I can put away some gummies so I just thought it was a nice gesture to me seeing at it was thrown for me. His exact words to me was “we knew you’d have to have some of the gummies and me and a couple other people thought it’d be funny to see you high one time before you left” not knowing that little “prank” probably has messed my whole future career of ever being a driver up flushed down the drain. I’ve completed everything with my sap but my first drug screen w negative results once that comes back I’m just gonna apply every where and hope someone is willing to give me a chance bc this is something I’ve wanted to do my whole life. I even started studying for my class a permit at 18 3 years before I could drive otr

New driver failed drug test

I just turned 21. I have no trucking experience at all I have never done or tried any drugs. I applied for prime inc done the pre employment drug screen passed. Go through orientation take my driving test passed on the first try I get popped for a random. No problem I take my test and a week later on my way home to transfer my license an MRO calls and tell me I have trace amounts of thc in my system that he’s have to inform my employer. My emotions were high not knowing how this was possible I called on of my “ so called friends “ and told him what had happened he admitted to me that he had mixed thc gummies with regular gummies at a farewell party they were throwing me he told me he though it would be funny to see me high before I left to go Otr. I’m already in contact with my SAP should I just give up considering I have no experience or is there any trucking companies that will give me a chance I was just associating myself w the wrong people and don’t feel the need for this to end a career that I’ve been looking forward to my whole life any comments would be helpful. T.I.A
