Is there any questions when taking your CDL test at the DMV on pre trip inspection? Hope this isn't a dumb question
Speaking of permit? Or actual CDL exam? Pretoria inspect is apart of that from what I've read
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.
It might ask you some what about the pre trip but not a whole lot..... The pre trip is a test in its own done before you do the skills test..... It might ask when and how often do you do a pre trip.... Questions like that....
There are some basic questions about the pre-trip inspection on the permit exam. Here is our how our High Road Training Program breaks down. You can see there is a pre-trip inspection section included for the permit:
A pre-trip inspection is a thorough inspection of the truck completed before driving for the first time each day.
Federal and state laws require that drivers inspect their vehicles. Federal and state inspectors also may inspect your vehicles. If they judge a vehicle to be unsafe, they will put it “out of service” until it is repaired.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A written or electronic record of a driver's duty status which must be maintained at all times. The driver records the amount of time spent driving, on-duty not driving, in the sleeper berth, or off duty. The enforcement of the Hours Of Service Rules (HOS) are based upon the entries put in a driver's logbook.
A vehicle with two separate parts - the power unit (tractor) and the trailer. Tractor-trailers are considered combination vehicles.
Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.

That's what gets me every time.... I have to stop myself from rushing
I just dabbled on the high road test and got halted, not that I was just guessing answers, but I was trying to do it without having to actually look up the right answer. Here's my question, before the questions their is a review section. On the actual DMV permit test, is that review section provided? If it is, I shouldn't have much of a problem passing reading the material immediately before answering, but don't know if it is, which is why I am/was trying to answer questions straight from memory before getting halted.

No, there won't be any review sections on the actual permit exam. It's just going to be a bunch of multiple choice questions.

Take your time and truly focus on the high road program. I have read my states manual and been taking the high road program.
I can't stress enough the importance of taking your time and truly reading and comprehending everything. Many parts I would read and reread and then read again.
