If you're considering it, the only problem females tend to run into is finding a female trainer, and a lot of male trainers don't want to take on a female student. The last time I was on the yard I ran into a few ladies that were having that issue.
I can tell you that I know several ladies I would rather see behind the wheel of a commercial vehicle then several men I know in the industry. I say it is about the ability to get the job done, not the gender.
Pretty open question. You have one in mind?
Ok guys. No laughing here. Thoughts on a female driver??
I love them I think they are sexy plus my exwife was probably one of the best drivers I have ever seen
Hi :)
This is my first post here, and I'm heading to Prime this weekend. I did hear that women have a hard time finding trainers, so any of you guys who are interested, look me up :) I'm not the whiney girl type, so I don't really care who my trainer is--- as long as he/she knows what they are doing and is willing to actually teach me.
On a separate note, I wanted to say thanks to all of you. the practice tests made things easy, and I learned so much from all of your posts.

I thought I was the only person that find women truckers sexy. I love to see a woman who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. Nothing like a woman in wedge heels stepping down from a tractor.
I'm starting at Suburban Trucking School for PAM on the 13. I have hope from everything I've read. For every guy that wants to give us problems I'd guess we've got 5-10 that would help if something was going on. Seems like a fantastic family to be a part of! I'm excited to give it a shot.
Rainy D., Welcome to the forum!
When you get to Prime look for our very own "Daniel B." He will be there looking for a new student. He will be trying to mix in with the crowd so as not to be noticed. He's the guy who appears to be only about sixteen years old, and he will be wearing his "hoodie." He'd make a great trainer for you.
For me, I'm not so much worried about what people think about a female driver. I'm more worried about actual treatment. If I'm driving solo no big deal. I would be most worried with the trainers that ride with you. It would seem a very intimate space for two people that don't know each other. I've been reading about how requesting a female trainer can be difficult. Are women looked down upon if they opt for a male trainer so as not to lose time? Again, not sure I would actually do that, but in mycurrent phase of "gather ALL the info, read ALL the things" I'm just adding this to my list of things to consider and be prepared for.

Considering the fact that we have a whole seperate forum titled Ladies of Trucking, I would say TruckingTruth thinks highly of them.
